Our Soda Fired Teacup features a slip coating made from dark local clays and cobalt. During firing, soda ash transforms the surface from reddish black to a striking deep blue. Each piece bears the authentic marks of the process—shell impressions and subtle texture on the sides and foot—creating a uniquely tactile surface. All cups are carefully finished to ensure smoothness while preserving the handmade character of the soda-firing technique.
