Alice Pike Barney painted this tender portrait of a young child around 1889, in a palette that lives up to the title. The oil on canvas came to the Smithsonian American Art Museum as a gift from her daughters in her memory, and this reproduction print adds a gentle, personal note to a nursery, bedroom, or gallery wall. The walnut frame keeps it classic.
